PSV Eindhoven boss Peter Bosz has laughed off questions about why he isn’t being linked to Liverpool, as they chase Feyenoord manager Arne Slot.
Bosz has been questioned about Liverpool’s move for Slot today, with their sudden push for the Dutch coach undoubtedly dominating the headlines.
Liverpool made their move for Slot earlier, submitting a first official offer to Feyenoord as they look for Jurgen Klopp’s successor.
The move has certainly appeared to be a rushed one, with Slot only seemingly moving to the top of the wish list on Tuesday after Sporting Club de Portugal manager Ruben Amorim appeared to fall away as an option.
There’s also some questions in the Netherlands, with Feyenoord currently second in the table and nine points behind PSV Eindhoven at this moment in time.
They’ve failed to defend the title they won last season, even with Ajax’s spectacular fall off, and logically the manager currently leading the division would be see as the more attractive option by some.
Bosz, though, isn’t interested.
“It would be fantastic for Arne,” he said at his press conference.
“Liverpool is of course a big club, if it all works out and it would, then that would be great for him. He is more than welcome.”
He was then asked, “you have a nine-point lead over Feyenoord, so you could have expected them to come to you,” by Milan van Dongen of ESPN.
“That didn’t happen, did it? I’m having a great time here, so just let me sit here,” he added, dismissing that idea completely.
