With Santiago Gimenez expected to leave Feyenoord at the end of the season, Mexican outlet Medio Tempo today shares some fresh updates on the striker’s situation.
The website names Tottenham Hotspur as one of the big contenders to sign the player. Medio Tempo are a major outlet in Mexico and they say, according to their own information, that Spurs have made an approach for his signing.
It’s claimed that Gimenez’s agent has flown to Europe to speak to interested clubs, and is actually in ‘no rush’ to decide the next destination.
Besides Tottenham, the likes of Arsenal, Juventus, AC Milan and RB Leipzig are all said to be interested in the centre-forward.
The good news for Spurs is that they’re one of the options Gimenez initially liked the most, alongside Leipzig.
Medio Tiempo then comes up with a list of arguments that each of those clubs have to show, and Tottenham’s advantage is said to be the power that English clubs have to cover expensive transfers.
It’s highlighted that Spurs are among the top clubs of the Premier League and consistently playing in European competitions, and that’s something Gimenez is interested in.
