It seems that if Wolverhampton Wanderers turn their interest in Koni De Winter into an effort this summer, they’ll have to buy him from Genoa.
The defender belongs to Juventus, but is having a loan spell which will become a permanent transfer in case some certain conditions are met.
TuttoMercatoWeb now feature a story explaining that De Winter has already reached the necessary appearances for Genoa, and they now only need to guarantee their place in Serie A next season so the signing will be completed for €8m.
The defender is then set to sign a contract which will run until June 2028. However, his exit could happen a lot sooner than that, with the outlet pointing out that Premier League sides, such as Wolves, recently became interested in him.
The very same TuttoMercatoWeb had indeed reported the Molineux side’s chase for De Winter last month, saying they’d been scouting him for several weeks.
It then remains to be seen what Genoa’s plans for him will be. They could definitely use a player who’s well settled at the club, but since they’re spending just €8m to buy him, perhaps a good offer from Wolves would be tempting for some immediate profit.
