Around 200-250 Bayern Munich fans could be in attendance at the Emirates for tonight’s clash with Arsenal, despite being banned by UEFA.

That’s according to Sky Germany, who say a contingent of fans have travelled to London in hope of flouting UEFA’s banishment.

The sporting body recently sanctioned Bayern with a fan ban and a €50,000 fine, after their supporters had set off pyrotechnics several times away from home, most recently at Lazio.

That’s why they won’t officially have any fans inside the Emirates this evening for the Champions League clash with Arsenal, but Sky say it is expected that some Bayern shirts will probably be seen in the crowd regardless.

According to their information, 200 to 250 fans from the ‘active fan scene’ want to make their way to London to support their team ‘on site’ and ideally inside the stadium as well.

Some of these fans have already secured tickets and those that don’t have them, want to try and secure them in some way or another. Whether they’ll be able to do so, remains to be seen.

Sky seem strangely proud of the fact they’re travelling, which is a common theme for German media on this sort of thing, and we’re not sure Arsenal fans would be getting the same treatment if it was the other way around.
