Leeds United’s Marc Roca has been on loan at Real Betis since last summer and was a regular for them until January.
The midfielder has managed four goals and three assists from 35 games this season and has been a vital player for Manuel Pellegrini.
According to El Desmarque, the Leeds man’s recent absence ‘continues to raise questions’.
It’s claimed ‘everything has gone wrong in the last two months’ for the 27-year-old as he missed five out of the last nine games, and Real Betis have lost their last four league games in a row.
The Leeds owned player initially had discomfort with his knee, followed by pneumonia and most recently an ankle problem. He was expected to return against Girona last weekend but the report states Roca is still not fit and hasn’t returned to training yet.
As of now, the Leeds midfielder is still outside the group and is doubtful to face Celtia Vigo on Saturday.
The Spaniard has been following a specific plan provided by Real Betis and if everything goes according to the plan, the report states he could return to training next week.
Roca is keen on extending his stay at Real Betis beyond this season, and whether the recent absence would have an impact on the Spanish side making an effort to retain him remains to be seen.
