Tottenham youngster Alejo Veliz has been granted permission to return to Ange Postecoglou’s side from Sevilla and skip training with the Spanish side.
That’s according to ABC Sevilla, who say the Tottenham man was missing from the latest session at the club.
The newspaper explains that while manager Quique Sanchez Flores included several youngsters in his latest sessions ahead of this weekend’s fixtures, the Tottenham loanee was not one of them.
He has instead been granted permission to return to England, where he needs to attend to a bureaucratic issue.
Either way he was absent from the recent training session, something which means he’s unlikely to be featuring anytime soon.
The young striker has gone a month without any game time under Sanchez Flores, who seems determined not to use him despite having asked for a striker to be signed in January.
He was handed that in Veliz but has barely used him since his arrival, something Tottenham are less than happy about according to the newspaper. Indeed, they’re believed to already be working on a new loan elsewhere for next season.
This return to London should be a nice change of scenery for the youngster.
