As things stand, Manchester United are in a tricky situation when it comes to the striker position, as they have Rasmus Højlund after his big move from Atalanta, but have very little useful backup for him.
Marcus Rashford can help out in the role but isn’t at his most comfortable there, and it’s easy to forget Anthony Martial still has a contract at Old Trafford, meaning a new goalscorer is expected to arrive this summer.
One of the names that has often been linked with a move to Manchester United is Joshua Zirkzee, currently starring at Bologna, and Gazzetta dello Sport bring it all back on Thursday.
They explain that while he would be interested in a move to AC Milan, the Dutchman could also end up having offers from England, where the Red Devils are keen.
Regarding his valuation, Gazzetta explain, as has been stated before, that Bologna are using the Rasmus Højlund deal as their benchmark for the valuation of their star, meaning a fee of around €70-80m is what they have in mind.
It’s a lot of money, but if the Dane was worth it, then why shouldn’t Zirkzee? That is, at least, what the Serie A side are thinking.
