Loris Karius’ fiancée Diletta Leotta remains hopeful that the Newcastle United goalkeeper could make a switch to Italy in the summer.
The Italian TV presenter was a guest on Cattelan’s TV, where she talked about the 30-year-old, and her quotes are relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb.
Newcastle signed the stopper on a free transfer two years ago and his current deal runs down at the end of this season.
The German has made only two appearances for Eddie Howe’s side so far and is, barring late surprises, set to leave them as a free agent in the summer.
Earlier this month, the goalkeeper dropped a strong hint he could be open to making a switch to Italy. Leotta has now suggested two possible destinations for him.
“I hope to see him in Italy, perhaps near Milan. So Monza, yes, but we can also get to Como,” she said.
A week ago, we covered claims from the Italian media that the former Juventus star Claudio Marchisio, who is an agent now, has been given a mandate to find him a club in Italy.
Three days ago, ASRomaLive.it explained that Marchisio has offered Karius to AS Roma and a potential move depends on the club’s next sporting director.
