The German media today gives some attention to Giovanni Reyna’s current loan at Nottingham Forest, and that’s not for a good reason.
It was back in January that Borussia Dortmund accepted to let the player go on a short spell, staying with the Reds until the end of the season.
However, he has only made four appearances for Nottingham Forest since then, Fussball Transfers now explains that the decision has been ‘disastrous’ so far.
Reyna only has 38 minutes to his name on the pitch, always being brought on at the end of games, and is clearly far from getting a starting place in the team.
Fussball Transfers points out he’s a ‘talented’ youngster who had been looking for more minutes out of Dortmund and now has a hard time getting them at Nottingham Forest.
It’s said he was supposed to get back to Germany with a ‘new self-confidence’, but considering how things have been going for him in England, that’s now very unlikely.
It’s now up to him and Nuno Espírito Santo to look for a solution in the final months of the season at Nottingham Forest to turn all this into a positive for all parties.
