Tottenham Hotspur star Richarlison is confident that he’ll soon be on the pitch for club and country.
When Brazil manager Dorival Junior announced the national team squad last week, there were some doubts about the striker getting called up, as Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou had just said the player would stay out for two or three weeks.
Now as Richarlison spoke to ESPN Brasil following Tottenham’s 3-1 win against Crystal Palace, he talked about being called up and recovering in time for the friendlies against England and Spain.
The player talked about how glad he is to be back in Brazil’s squad, and when asked about his injury, he said he’s getting ready to play for Spurs again.
“No, it’s fine. Didn’t you see the sprint I had when we scored? So I’m already training, I’ll be on the pitch tomorrow and I think I’ll be ready for the game next Saturday,” said Richarlison.
Tottenham have two more games before the international break. They first face Aston Villa on Sunday, not Saturday as said by Richarlison, and then play Fulham on the 16th.
Those will be crucial games for the striker to show he’s fit and deserves a starting place for Brazil, who are playing friendlies to decide the squad they’ll bring to the Copa América.
