We’ve all made decisions we may end up regretting later in life and for Tottenham target Morten Hjulmand, it may be getting a tattoo of his favourite club, Arsenal.
Record cover the player today and how things may be a little awkward for the midfielder if Tottenham decide to move for him this summer.
Hjulmand is reportedly a big target for Tottenham this year, with a report this week explaining that they’ve had scouts watching him for some time.
That was again the case this week, with Tottenham specifically sending a scout to watch his performance in the clash with Benfica and coming away with positive reports on the Danish midfielder.
The belief is that he could be a replacement for Oliver Skipp and Pierre Emile Hojbjerg, both of whom have been linked with moves away from Tottenham in the summer.
The growing belief in Portugal is that a bid could be on the way and that could make things awkward as Record explain that he has an Arsenal tattoo.
They report that the midfielder has an Arsenal tattoo, the club crest, on his left arm, having been a fan of the Gunners since he was a youngster and having Patrick Vieira as one of his idols.
“My dad supported Arsenal and we watched games together when we were younger,” he explained when asked about the matter.
The newspaper does insist this personal choice will have little or no interference in Tottenham’s interest in him, but we’re sure it’ll absolutely be a topic up for discussion should Spurs turn that interest into a bid in the coming months.
