If Mohamed Dahoud was hoping a move away from Brighton and Hove Albion would revive his fortunes this season, it seems he may have been mistaken.
That’s according to BILD anyway, who say the midfielder’s loan move to VfB Stuttgart is yet to work out how he may have hoped.
The newspaper explains that Dahoud had arrived at the German club on loan at the end of the January transfer window looking for regular playing time after struggling at Brighton this season.
While manager Sebastian Hoeneß has insisted that the player is moving in the right direction and things are going find for the Brighton man, the reality is that Dahoud seems to be ‘trying hard without shining’ so far.
Indeed, there have been several moments where he has ‘often made bad passes’ which have ultimately put his team in trouble.
That is why he remains stuck on the bench, particularly with Angelo Stiller and Atakan Karazor also impressing in front of him in the pecking order.
That would suggest Dahoud won’t be getting off the bench anytime soon and the move from Brighton may not have been as smart as it first appeared to be.
