Even though Erik ten Hag isn’t living through his worst time at Manchester United these days, there’s someone sneaking around, looking at his job.
That’s Thomas Tuchel, who’s officially leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
The manager has yet to stop working for the Bundesliga side, but there are already some rumours about his future, with Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg bringing some details.
He explains that Tuchel is ‘definitely taking a look’ at Manchester United, as they’re a club that ‘appeal to him’.
It’s also claimed that he ‘can well imagine’ himself working at Old Trafford, as he believes there’s still a job to be done in the Premier League for him after his time at Chelsea.
There’s no information on a potential interest from the English side, though, with Plettenberg only reporting that Barcelona have him on their list to replace Xavi.
This isn’t the first time Tuchel has been linked to Manchester United this week. On Wednesday, it was Bild’s Christian Falk who claimed that the manager wants to return to the Premier League and the Red Devils are a club he ‘was always interested in’.
Now what remains to be seen is whether Sir Jim Ratcliffe would be interested in that, especially because Ten Hag’s side have been in good form of late, with five wins in their last five games.
