Leicester City midfielder Boubakary Soumaré has insisted he still doesn’t know what the future holds as he enjoys himself on loan at Sevilla.

The midfielder has been speaking to Diario de Sevilla about his time at the club so far and what the future may hold for him.

He joined them on loan from Leicester in the summer and has proven to be a regular player since, particularly since manager Quique Sanchez Flores arrived to take charge.

The loan deal includes a purchase option for the Spanish side, priced at €16m, but several reports have made it clear Sevilla won’t be able to pay that.

They are very happy with what they’ve got from the midfielder so far and would like him on a permanent basis but their finances, which are likely to be lessened by the fact they won’t qualify for Europe this season, may not allow them to spend money on Soumaré.

It means that it remains to be seen what happens in the summer, with negotiations likely to be opened with Leicester over a permanent deal, and Soumaré admits he is in the dark.

“At the moment, I’m here for this season,” he told the newspaper when asked the ‘big question’ about his future.

“And I still don’t know anything. It’s a good club, I’m learning a lot and I’m trying to gain more confidence. The decision will be made later.”
