Tanguy Ndombele’s spell at Galatasaray continues to be a controversial subject in Turkey, as the Tottenham Hotspur loanee has been struggling to prove himself there.
The midfielder is constantly criticised for his bad form, and even his physical situation was many times discussed by local claims.
The latest comments on Ndombele are made by Sercan Dikme, who’s quoted by GS Gazete.
The pundit claimed that even though the Tottenham man has been doing poorly, he continues to be given new chances by his manager, and that wouldn’t be happening at other Turkish clubs.
“Who gets the most criticism at Galatasaray? Ndombele. Okan Buruk is still playing him and nobody says anything. I bet he wouldn’t have played for one month at Beşiktaş, his contract would have been cancelled,” said Dikme.
Since arriving at Galatasaray last summer, Ndombele has rarely been handed starts at the club, but does have 23 appearances made for them. Lately, he’s been mostly used in the final minutes of matches.
At this stage, it seems clear that the Turkish side won’t be interested in signing him on a permanent deal, so it’s very likely that Tottenham will need to find yet another new solution for him.
Ndombele’s contract with Spurs runs until 2025, with his market value is only going down, as Transfermarkt currently has it at €15m.
