Hannibal Mejbri’s loan at Sevilla from Manchester United is failing miserably, with the midfielder finding himself in a ‘very delicate situation’.

That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who cover the player today and how he’s failed to convince Quique Sanches Flores.

The newspaper explains that the winter signing sparked the greatest excitement at the club when he arrived, with the club and their fans believing he could prove to be a perfect addition.

That hasn’t worked out, though, as he’s managed just 36 minutes due to factors that are entirely ‘unrelated’ to his football ability.

An incident early on in his time at the club with a teammate set him off on a bad foot and since then the player has been ‘practically ostracised’ by manager Quique Sanchez Flores.

The Manchester United youngster has received several public scoldings from the manager and hasn’t been able to convince him in recent weeks.

He finds himself in a ‘very delicate situation’ and there are no signs that he will recover from that in the short-term, especially as Sevilla appear to be enjoying an upturn in form.

The ‘ostracism’ he is currently enjoying means Sevilla have ruled out the possibility of signing him on a permanent basis from Manchester United in the summer.

They had an option to do so for €18m as part of his loan deal but that’s a ‘very high amount’ given his situation so far and Sevilla’s lack of funds to do so.

Instead, he’ll be heading back to Old Trafford, with this loan move having proven to be a disaster thus far.
