Arriving at Tottenham with a lot of expectations after a transfer from Real Madrid, Sergio Reguilon has found life quite difficult in England.
He has never managed to fully convince with Spurs, which led to a loan at Atlético Madrid, which really didn’t go well, followed by a new one earlier this season at Manchester United.
The Tottenham player was an emergency arrival for the Mancunian side, who cut the deal short in January, allowing him to go to Brentford for the second half of the campaign, which Estadio Deportivo cover on Tuesday.
They point how well it’s going for the time being, as the Spurs loanee is making the most of his opportunities to date, currently playing while Rico Henry and Aaron Hickey recover from their respective injuries.
For Estadio Deportivo, who have a Sevilla connection, they are delighted to see what is clearly a favourite from his time spent at the LaLiga club doing well for once, as he now has an ‘opportunity to relax’ in his career after a tumultuous couple of years.
Furthermore, this is also great news for Tottenham, who are hoping that Reguilón will ‘revalue himself’ during the next few months in the Premier League, allowing them to ‘receive offers’ for him in the summer to finally get him off their books for good.
