Over the weekend, claims from England revealed that Lazio were interested in Jobe Bellingham, brother of Jude, currently playing his football at Sunderland.
The midfielder joined the Black Cats with the promise of first-team football, which he is getting, and he has impressed enough that the likes of Real Madrid would like to reunite him with his brother.
Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday pick up on the reports, and seem to add a very small bit of information of their own, recalling that Lazio were also interested in Sunderland’s Jack Clarke.
The Serie A side tried to sign the winger over the course of the January transfer window, failing with a €16m bid, but they will come back in the summer.
Gazzetta explain that Lazio ‘will attempt the double assault’ for both Bellingham and Clarke, trying to tempt them away from Sunderland once the season is over.
Whether they achieve that remains to be seen, but with more money in their account, it could all depend on where Sunderland are playing their football next year and who else comes for their players.
