Las Palmas’ Mika Mármol could end up at Manchester City in the summer.
That’s according to El Chiringuito, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a short update on Manchester City.
Last summer, the defender joined the La Liga side from Andorra and has been a regular this season, making 21 league appearances.
The centre-back’s performances have seen the City Football Group, who own Manchester City, take notice.
El Chiringuito journalist Jose Alvarez Haya claims CFG ‘want to take’ the 22-year-old to Manchester City. He adds Pep Guardiola’s side would sign him and then send him on loan to Girona, who are also owned by the Citizens’ owners.
The Spaniard has over two years left on his contract, and it’s not clear if he’s willing to sign for Manchester City and then go out on loan to Girona.
Mármol is a product of Barcelona’s academy, where he was used as both a left-back and in the middle of defence. He wasn’t able to cement a place at the Camp Nou and was allowed to join Andorra, a year before he arrived at Las Palmas.
