Earlier this month, Isak Hansen-Aarøen left Manchester United and sealed a permanent move to Werder Bremen.
The attacking midfielder’s deal with the Red Devils was set to expire in the summer, but he wanted to leave in the winter market, after failing to get chances at Old Trafford.
Deich Stube state the 19-year-old ‘turned his back’ on Manchester United, to enjoy first team football at Werder Bremen.
The Norway U21 international has left the English club without making an appearance for their senior team. Erik ten Hag’s decision to not include him in the squad for the FA Cup clash against Wigan Athletic in January didn’t please the media in his home country.
“Now for me it’s about proving myself in training and showing everyone what I can do,” he said.
“It was time for me to take the next step and go to a club where I could get more opportunities and show how good I am. This is definitely the step I want to take now. That was one of the reasons why I came here. I want to play men’s football now and I feel ready for it.”
Werder Bremen head of football Clemens Fritz has urged Hansen-Aarøen to improve ‘physically’ and the player is in agreement.
“I will certainly do my workouts, but I definitely want to keep a certain pace in my game. I’m a very technical player and I hope it’s fun to watch me play. I like to dribble and always give my best when I’m on the pitch,” Hansen-Aarøen explained.
The outlet claims former Manchester City star David Silva is the Norwegian’s role model.
