After the deals last summer for Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Politic, Chelsea and AC Milan could be at it again next summer.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Serie A side have now set their eyes on Carney Chukwuemeka, currently used sparingly by the Blues.
The 20-year-old was bought by Chelsea from Aston Villa for €18m back in 2022, but the young midfielder has failed to break through at Stamford Bridge.
A knee injury has kept him out for most of the season to date, and while Mauricio Pochettino has brought him off the bench in the last three games, it remains to be seen whether he is part of the Argentine manager’s long-term plans.
Milan have seemingly heard that Chukwuemeka isn’t overly happy at Chelsea, as Gazzetta dello Sport claim the young player feels ‘trapped’ at the Premier League club.
He is seen as having the ‘right profile’ to join the casting of the new look Milan next season, and his situation is like ‘so many other former Blues’ who now have found joy and happiness with the Serie A side.
As well as the aforementioned duo who signed in the summer, there is also Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud in the current squad who used to play for Chelsea.
