A few weeks ago, when Botafogo were negotiating for the signing of Luiz Henrique from Real Betis, it was claimed that Crystal Palace could be a future destination for the player.
That’s obviously because John Textor, who’s the owner of the Brazilian club, is also a shareholder at the Eagles. It was said that to attract the player back to Brazil, he offered him a chance to move to one of his European clubs.
That possibility now seems to be ruled out, though, as ESPN Brasil shares a story claiming that Crystal Palace isn’t such a likely destination for Luiz Henrique.
It’s pointed out that John Textor is a shareholder both at Crystal Palace and Lyon, but ‘everything indicates’ it’s the French club that would receive him, and not Roy Hodgson’s side.
That probably has to do with the fact that the businessman has much more power at the Ligue 1 side, but also because the player may not be ready for the step up to the Premier League either.
