On Thursday, it was claimed that West Ham United had offered £11m for Valentin Carboni, currently at Monza on loan from Inter Milan.
The bid was turned down by Piero Ausilio and co., who clearly believe in the 18-year-old and want to keep him at the club for longer.
That’s what Calciomercato explain on Friday, revealing that West Ham weren’t even close to what Inter want with their alleged bid.
It’s stated that currently ‘not even €20m’ would be enough to convince Inter to sell, and only ‘indecent offers’ could make them sit down and negotiate a potential transfer.
What that entails for West Ham isn’t said, but the desire from Milan is to ‘erect a wall’ to protect the young starlet from assaults from elsewhere, they will have to start by ‘setting up a project around him’, sitting down with his entourage to decide what that is.
Either way, if the Hammers want him, the wallet will have to be opened very wide.
