Tottenham Hotspur’s Tanguy Ndombélé has been on loan at Galatasaray since last September but has failed to regularly impress for the Istanbul club.
The Turkish media have been questioning his fitness, and Milliyet reported last month that the 27-year-old could be sent back to the north London club in January.
On January 10th, Sabah reported the Tottenham player’s exit had been put on hold after he made good use of some opportunities given to him. Star Gazetesi now back that up and indicate he’s managed to turn things around.
Ndombélé made his fourth appearance of this year against Trabzonspor, managing an assist, and the website states he ‘managed to stand out’ with his performances in recent weeks.
This has pleased Galatasaray and their technical staff and therefore, Star Gazetesi say the Tottenham man’s ‘chances of staying in the team have increased’.
Galatasaray have an option to make his loan stay permanent and if he were to continue to shine, they may consider buying Ndombélé after this season.
