Just yesterday, we covered reports from the Dutch media which said Manchester City have a ‘big bag of money’ ready to sign Gabriel Misehouy from Ajax.
The youngster could see his contract with the Eredivisie giants expire at the end of the season, and with no deal for a renewal yet, Pep Guardiola’s side are attentive.
An update on Misehouy’s situation is today brought by De Telegraaf, and it sounds quite good for Manchester City.
The report claims the player’s departure from Ajax now seems ‘inevitable’, as he snubbed the deadline he had to sign a new deal with the club.
There was an offer for a contract which would run until 2027. Misehouy didn’t respond to that and changed agents, now represented by Pini Zahavi.
De Telegraaf points out that the midfielder draws interest from Manchester City, as well as from their City Group partners Girona.
It now remains to be seen whether Misehouy will wait to leave as a free agent or if any interested sides will try get him signed this month.
