The prospect of a move to Everton ‘seduces’ the agents representing Real Betis winger Luiz Henrique, but the Toffees are yet to convince the Spanish side.
That’s according to ABC Sevilla, who say Everton need to up their efforts if they wish to sign the Brazilian this month.
The Blues were first linked with a potential move for Henrique earlier this month but at that stage it was made clear Betis considered a deal unlikely as Everton wouldn’t have the funds to satisfy them.
There’s been a distinct softening of their position since then, though, with their president opening the door and suggesting they’re open to any deal and then a report today stating a loan deal would even suffice.
They explain that while Henrique is in line to play for Betis against Barcelona this weekend there is every chance it will be his last game and his future will be determined next week.
According to them Everton are one of several sides to have ‘set their eyes’ on the winger but so far, their proposals are ‘not entirely convincing’ for those in charge of Betis.
Everton are an option that ‘seduces the footballer’s entourage’ and they are working on possible deals but so far Everton have only offered a ‘pure loan’.
That doesn’t suit Betis who, at least according to ABC, aren’t contemplating anything but a full transfer so they could balance their books and use the money to find a replacement.
The newspaper insists they’re not interested in a loan, even one with a purchase clause included, going against earlier reports on that front.
Everton’s interest is there, though, perhaps with Arnaut Danjuma on his way to France, and with his agents working perhaps there is scope for all parties to find an agreement that suits.
