West Ham United are set to add to their backroom team at the beginning of February with the signing of Maximilian Hahn from Werder Bremen.

That’s according to BILD, who say the 28-year-old is set to move to the London Stadium as their head of technical scouting and analysis.

The newspaper explains that a transfer like this ‘doesn’t happen every day’ with Hahn set to leave Bremen at the beginning of February for the big lights of the Premier League.

He’s been working at the German club as a coordinator in scouting and data analysis since July 2022 after previous spells with Darmstadt and Dresden.

The explain that Hahn is ‘considered a top expert’ in the area of analysis and data-based scouting and that’s led West Ham to move to scoop him up.

Their transfer business is currently headed up by technical director Tim Steidten who also worked at Bremen for several years as a Youth Scout, Head of Youth Scouting, Head of Scouting, Sporting director and then director of football before leaving in 2019.

That means he missed Hahn’s arrival at the club, but he’s seemingly now gone back to raid them regardless and add him to West Ham’s backroom team from next month.
