Tottenham want €7-8m for Bryan Gil if they are to sell the player in the near future, with the player uninterested in another loan deal.
That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who say Gil wants a ‘long-term project’ and not another temporary solution to his lack of minutes with Tottenham.
They explain that signing ‘good and cheap’ in this winter market is difficult, but Gil is an exception to that and that is why he is a ‘great target’ for several sides in this window.
Sevilla have already made him a ‘strong proposal’ and Fiorentina have also shown an interest again after missing out on another target.
At the moment neither club have secured the player’s signature and according to Estadio that’s because his primary target is to establish himself with Tottenham and prove himself to Ange Postecoglou.
If that doesn’t work out, he will ‘look for a way out’ but has made it clear he does not want to depart on loan once again.
Rather he wants a permanent exit and a ‘more long-term project’. Tottenham are aware of this and according to ED’s information, value him at around €7-8m, despite him costing them €25m in 2021.
It means that his transfer ‘will not be a simple sale’ by any means, particularly for the likes of Sevilla, who don’t have the finances for such an operation.
As such, Gil’s future remains to be determined. If he can’t prove himself in the coming weeks then he’ll seek an exit, but another loan isn’t a part of his plans for now.
