All of a sudden, Villarreal are no longer the only alternative for Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Gonçalo Guedes this month.

Even though the Portuguese and Spanish media had been sure that the player would see his spell at Benfica cut short to join the Yellow Submarine, newspaper A Bola now comes with another possibility.

It’s said that Saudi Arabia is now an alternative for the Wolves player, as they offer him the ‘seductive prospect’ of playing in a league full of stars and a ‘very attractive contract’.

Guedes is now expected to have a few more days to analyse the offers on the table before deciding where to play for the final months of the season.

The winger’s situation is becoming a saga, with recent reports also claiming that Benfica have been reluctant to cut short his spell in Lisbon, even though they’ve been making very little use of him lately.

Wolves just want the striker to play and are apparently not getting involved in the situation, just letting the 27-year-old join whoever he wants to.
