Transfer to Fulham ‘could suit everyone’ this month – Marco Silva’s side yet to make concrete effort

The rumours linking Fulham and Rennes midfielder Nemanja Matic today get an update from the French media.

The freshest news on the player’s situation is brought by RMC Sport, who claim there’s still a tense mood between him and the Ligue 1 side.

Matic reportedly wants to leave Rennes, and recently emptied his locker to travel with his family to London. Now after meeting the club’s management on Monday, they didn’t reach an agreement regarding his exit or otherwise.

Fulham are one of the clubs who are said to be interested in him, and RMC Sport claims that’s a transfer which ‘could suit everyone’. The problem is that no concrete approach was made by the Whites.

There’s also a track leading to Lyon, which Rennes would not be against, as long as the clubs manage to reach a financial agreement. A first offer worth below €2m was already turned down.

Now in case Fulham do make the move, it does sounds like Rennes would rather see Matic leaving for the Premier League instead of reinforcing a French rival.
