Real Betis’ Luiz Henrique has ended up on Everton’s agenda, according to a report from Spain.
Manuel Pellegrini has mainly used the winger as a substitute this season and he’s made seven starts from 17 games, managing a goal and two assists in the process.
At the weekend, he played the full 90 minutes in his side’s 1-0 win over Granada, and Everton had a scout to watch him live in action.
That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who state the Toffees were one of the English clubs to have followed the 22-year-old closely.
The Brazilian’s deal lasts until 2028 and the report states the La Liga side want €18m to part ways with him. They have already rejected a €7.5m bid from Fluminense for 60% of his rights.
With regards to Everton, ED state they can’t buy the 23-year-old due to their financial situation. Therefore, Sean Dyche’s side are aiming to take Henrique on a free loan deal, and at most they could include an option to buy as part of the deal.
It’s said these formulas don’t ‘fulfil aspirations’ of the Spanish club, who are requesting €18m for the attacker. Real Betis are clear that Henrique won’t even leave on a loan deal with conditional obligation.
ED add they will listen to offers for the South American, as long as they are over €15m. This would almost rule out Everton, just like other interested clubs from Brazil.
