Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Sasa Kalajdzic has admitted he just wants to “have fun playing football” again after securing his loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Austrian forward has been speaking to various media ahead of his new club’s clash with RB Leipzig this weekend, in which he is expected to make his debut.
The striker joined Frankfurt on loan earlier this month after it was made clear he is not a part of Wolves’ plans for the rest of the season.
It’s been a frustrating time for him at Molineux since joining in August 2022, with an injury suffered on the first day of the season meaning he missed the entirety of last season.
It’s that which has prompted his move to Frankfurt, where he admits he has one goal above the rest in the second half of the season.
“I feel ready,” Sky Austria report him saying.
“You never have fun against Leipzig, they are an unpleasant opponent. But I’m still happy. I just want to play successfully again and have fun playing football.
“The team played without a real striker for the past half-year. I believe that I can fill this role well. I bring certain components into the game thanks to my size and characteristics and I believe that I can complement the game well.
“If there is a tall guy in the penalty area, then you should feed him.”
