Even Celtic fans will have heard the news that Tottenham are signing Radu Dragușin from Genoa, which in turn could affect Brendan Rodgers’ squad.
That’s what Calciomercato hint at on Wednesday, as they explain that Gustaf Lagerbielke is one of the players who could come in to fill the hole left by the Romania international’s exit.
They would be in a competition with Lecce for the Celtic defender, who have ‘set their sights’ on the Swede to bolster their backline, but the money Genoa are set to receive from the Dragușin deal could be a problem.
That’s because the Serie A side ‘may have greater economic strength’, and could likely offer some money to Celtic to potentially get a permanent transfer over the line.
It isn’t said how much the Scottish side are asking for a player they only signed in the summer, but considering they only spent €3.4m on him and haven’t used him all that much, a fee similar to their initial expenditure could be enough to convince Celtic to part ways with the 23-year-old.
