Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Sasa Kalajdzic will get 10 goals between now and the end of the season, after securing his move to Eintracht Frankfurt.
That’s according to Austria teammate Kevin Wimmer, who has backed the striker to make a big impact back in Germany.
Kalajdzic joined Frankfurt on loan this week, securing a move away from Wolves until the end of the season after it was made clear he was not a part of Gary O’Neil’s plans.
It brought a temporary end to something of a miserable spell for the striker at Molineux, where he moved in an €18m deal from VfB Stuttgart in August 2022.
That saw him spend 274 days on the treatment table and miss 43 games in total, only returning to full fitness at the beginning of the season.
He’s been unable to break through since that point, though, only playing a bit-part role under O’Neil this season, thus leading to his temporary exit this month.
He’s hoping the switch to Frankfurt can get him back to his best and scoring goals ahead of Euro 2024 and his international teammate can definitely see that happening.
“He was constantly training in England and will certainly be fit enough to do that to cope with,” he said.
“Frankfurt has a strong team, which suits Sasa. He will score 10 more goals this season. I trust him to do that any time!”
