On Tuesday, we covered the early reports that Leicester City, and more specifically Enzo Maresca, were interested in signing Stefano Sensi from Inter Milan.
The midfielder is struggling for game time under Simone Inzaghi, and with a contract expiring at the end of the campaign, would be a cheap transfer for the Foxes.
Initial reports suggested that Sensi wasn’t overly satisfied with the idea of heading to the Championship, preferring to stay in Italy, but Gazzetta dello Sport’s latest information suggests something different.
They believe that Inzaghi will be able to ‘soon say goodbye’ to his player, as the idea of playing under Marsca and ‘prospect of playing in the Premier League next season’ are ‘convincing the midfielder’ of moving to Leicester.
That’s a bit less than the €3m touted on Tuesday, but the idea is the same: Leicester can sign a Maresca target for cheap, and he is considering the move to the King Power Stadium.
