On December 28th, Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Saša Kalajdžić’s agent revealed that his client has received interest from England and Germany.
A day later, Bild reported the 26-year-old wants to move to Eintracht Frankfurt and their sporting director, Markus Krösche, is intensively negotiating a deal with Wolves.
Kicker state the German club are focusing on a deal for Kalajdžić after completing the signing of Donny van de Beek.
Krösche wants to replicate the same formula to sign a striker, and the Wolves man has been identified as the ‘top candidate’. A dry loan deal is also an option for the German club.
This season, the Austria international has made only one league start for Gary O’Neil’s side. This hasn’t pleased him and he has ‘already decided’ to make a switch to Eintracht Frankfurt.
It’s claimed Kalajdžić was supposed to be an ‘immediate aid’ for Eintracht Frankfurt’s clash against RB Leipzig on January 13th. Their idea was to quickly conclude the deal so that he can start training for a week under Dino Toppmöller.
Kicker claim the negotiations between the Bundesliga side Wolves are ‘still stuck’ and if a deal cannot be agreed for Kalajdžić, the player will look for other options.
