Álvaro Morata has been a trending topic this week, since many of the Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in the striker. In Thursday’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Italians have a few bits of interesting information on what could happen next week.
Juventus president Beppe Marotta is expected to meet the Real Madrid board and see if the Spaniards want to buy the player back for €30m, the amount which was set when Morata moved to Italy in 2014.
Despite the interest from several clubs, Gazzetta only mentions Chelsea as a potential buyer. They say the Blues would be ready to spend up to €60m on the 23-year-old.
Morata is not the happiest man in Turin, since manager Massimiliano Allegri doesn’t consider him to be the first option for the attack.
The player would be also accepting not to play Champions League football next season in order to sign for Chelsea.
From what we’ve covered this week, this deal is not so simple, as other competitors should join the battle for the striker, but on the basis of this article from Gazzetta, Chelsea are serious candidates to land the player this summer.
