The midfielder has also been linked with a move to Juventus, who are looking to bring in a player in the same position next month.

The England international has struggled for regular minutes since he arrived at the Etihad from Leeds United in 2022. He’s been restricted to 10 games this season and that includes four substitute appearances in the Premier League.
Phillips needs to play regularly to improve his chances of representing England at the Euros next summer and is looking for a suitable club.
It could be Newcastle, who are looking for a midfielder after losing Sandro Tonali for the rest of the season due to suspension.
Manchester City, for their part, are open to letting the player leave on a loan deal and this formula pleases Eddie Howe’s side.
