Player would make ‘economic effort’ to leave Manchester United – Has deep feelings for club

In the past couple of weeks, surprising news in the rumour mill claimed that Raphael Varane could leave Manchester United to return to Real Madrid.

With the Galacticos needing a defender, it was said by a few sources that they’d welcome the Frenchman in their squad.

Spanish outlet Sport today writes about this situation, claiming Varane would make an ‘economic effort’ to leave Manchester United for Real Madrid.

Even though the La Liga giants have other names on their list, it’s siad the Frenchman has the advantage of knowing the club well, as well many of their players.

What goes against him is his injury record, as he rarely manages to stay fit for a long period at Manchester United, and that may convince Real Madrid to go for other targets.

Robert Renan, Rafa Marin, Giorgio Scalvini and Gonçalo Inácio are other names who the Spanish side are said to be watching.

It was said earlier that Real Madrid could make a €20m offer for Varane in January, and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United would accept that.
