Crystal Palace shareholder John Textor may be lining up a signing for Botafogo with the help of the Eagles.
That’s reported by O Globo, who feature a story on the future of Boca Juniors star Cristian Medina.
Brazilian side Botafogo, who are owned by Textor, are said to be interested in the player, but don’t have the money to make the operation happen.
According to O Globo, one of Textor’s other clubs, Crystal Palace or Lyon, could then buy the player and loan him to Botafogo.
The Brazilian club are said to be trying to work with their own forces by attempting a negotiation with Boca Juniors. But if the Argentine side don’t offer a discount, then the help will be needed.
Cristian Medina is just 21 and was one of Boca Juniors’ best players in their Copa Libertadores campaign this year. Perhaps that’d be a good investment for Crystal Palace, as long as the club, and not only Textor, are interested in the signing.
