Leeds United are eyeing a move for FK Haugesund striker Sory Ibrahim Diarra, with his agent confirming there are clubs interested in him.
That’s according to Mali Actu, who specifically name Leeds and Salernitana as interested parties in the 23-year-old.
Diarra has been with the Norwegian team since a move from Petrolul in February this year and has been impressing ever since, with nine goals and two assists in 28 games so far.
This season he has eight goals in 25 games in the Eliteserien, a tally which has seemingly led to interest in his services.
They’ve reportedly taken notice of the fact the striker is ‘in great form’ and then cover comments from the player’s agent, Amadou Konté, who confirmed interest but did not name the parties.
“Several clubs and directors have indeed contacted me, but to date we are only at the talks stage,” he is quoted as saying.
If Leeds do want to make a move, they’ll have work to do to convince Haugesund, who have him tied to a deal until 2026.
The forward is reportedly valued at €800,000 at this moment in time, but you would expect a bit more than that to be needed to get a deal done.
