It appears that the situation surrounding Raphaël Varane at Manchester United is escalating, according to the latest reports in Germany.
These come from Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, who took to X to reveal what has been going on behind the scenes at Old Trafford.
The reporter explains that Manchester United are ‘aware of the fact’ that Varane is ‘unhappy’ with his situation at the Premier League side.
Not only that, but he has been told that the centre-back would ‘receive the green light’ for a transfer this winter, but not as a loan.
Manchester United ‘want to sell him’, with a value of around €20-30m slapped on his back to get a deal done.
As for Bayern Munich in all this, who were said to be interested in the former France international, they are still ‘monitoring’ the situation surrounding his future, as they look for some defensive reinforcements in the January transfer window.
