Nottingham Forest signed Divock Origi on loan from AC Milan in the last window and this hasn’t paid off yet as he’s clocked in 59 minutes from five games this season.
On Wednesday, SportBild reported the Tricky Trees are looking to cut short the Belgian’s stay and replace him with Werder Bremen’s Marvin Ducksch in January.
Nottingham Forest’s desire to sign Ducksch is relayed by Bild, who also share a key detail on the possibility of a transfer in the winter market.
Werder Bremen’s head of first team football Clemens Fritz heaped praise on the frontman’s latest individual feat despite Die Mannschaft losing both the friendly fixtures.
“Despite the defeats, being nominated for the national team is something special. Ducksch has now made two international appearances. This gives you a positive boost. Of course, you want to win and have a good debut. Nevertheless, he will come back with positive energy,” he told Bild.
The player’s good performances have caught the attention of Nottingham Forest, and despite this, Ducksch’s exit is ‘out of the question’ in January.
When responding to claims of Nottingham Forest’s interest in Ducksch, Fritz explained: “A winter transfer is not an issue for us.”
Steve Cooper’s side would have to look elsewhere, if they wish to bring in a new attacker in the next window.
