Over the past week or so, we’ve covered a lot of reports from France regarding the future of Crystal Palace star Yohan Cabaye at Selhurst Park.

The France international didn’t help himself by admitting that Marseille’s new project in Ligue 1 was ‘attractive’, which led to the French media getting excited about a possible return to his home country for the Eagles’ midfielder.

However, it appears a trip back across the Channel isn’t quite in Cabaye’s plans just yet, as he let people know on social media on Tuesday night.

It appears the Crystal Palace player was watching L’Equipe du Sir, where journalist Florian Gazan explains, relayed by Goal France“Cabaye first and foremost wants to stay in the Premier League, whether it is at Crystal Palace, where he has a year left, or in another club as he has other contacts in England.

“He’s very happy in England, where he still has a very good reputation, and doesn’t have the intention of retuning to France.”

Cabaye took to Twitter soon after to write: “I confirm @flogazan! Thanks for reestablishing the truth!!!”

It seems that, as things stand, a transfer to Marseille in the summer isn’t top of the midfielder’s list.

The midfielder has been a key component of Crystal Palace’s squad this season, making 30 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and picking up two assists along the way.
