Earlier this week, Tuttosport reported that Manchester United joining the chase for Giorgio Scalvini has made it complicated for Inter Milan to sign the Atalanta star.
The 19-year-old came up through the ranks of La Dea’s youth system and made his first team debut in October 2021. He has been a regular since the start of last season and his displays have seen him attract interest from clubs in Italy and abroad.
Manchester United belong to the latter category and Tutto Atalanta share more updates on the battle for the defender.
It’s claimed the race for the Italy international has ‘taken an even more interesting turn’ with the Red Devils’ entry into the battle for his signature.
Despite the interest from the three Italian teams, the report explains Atalanta ‘could sell’ the player to Manchester United for a fee close to €50m, as they have an ‘excellent’ relationship with Erik ten Hag’s side.
That’s probably because the Premier League side signed Rasmus Højlund from Atalanta in the last window.
Scalvini has a goal from 13 appearances this season.
