Agent arrives in London tomorrow, at Crystal Palace’s request, to discuss transfer situation

 

Steve Mandanda’s situation at Crystal Palace is getting worse rather than better. Manager Sam Allardyce has insinuated Mandanda is not only behind Wayne Hennessey, but also Julian Speroni.

The goalkeeper performed so well for Marseille last season, and in the ones leading up to it, there were some suggestions in France he should be considered a more serious challenger to Hugo Lloris, so the fall has been steep.

French newspaper L’Equipe look at the situation on Tuesday, and they say Crystal Palace’s recent claim of a new injury problem fooled nobody, with it being a ruse to excuse the strange situation.

L’Equipe explain the player’s agent, Stéphane Courbis, is expected at Crystal Palace on Wednesday to discuss the situation, and no doubt a potential transfer.

Mandanda has been repeatedly linked with a return to Marseille, who are now much better off financially, and Tuesday’s claims state AS Monaco could also be an option if Danijel Subašić leaves the club this summer.
