Juventus will return to the transfer market after Paul Pogba’s positive drugs test and Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is the name being touted.
That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who say ‘he would be the one’ to replace the Frenchman should his contract in Turin be terminated as expected.
Pogba is facing a lengthy ban after a counter analysis of his initial failed test today confirmed the initial findings.
It is now ‘very probable’ that his contract will be terminated by Juventus, who will subsequently head to the market in search of a replacement.
That’s despite the fact his name is only ‘lukewarm’ at this moment in time within the club, where sources have been insisting today that he is not a target.
TMW state that the Denmark international would be ideal, though, because he is experienced, accustomed to pressure and wouldn’t cost much given he is not a starter at Tottenham under Ange Postecoglou.
Those are all factors that should make him the ideal target according to them, although that idea doesn’t seem to be shared at Juventus as yet.
Indeed, at the moment it seems that the Italian media are more convinced than the club and trying to sway the thinking at the Bianconeri.
