RB Leipzig have received good news and bad news ahead of their clash with Manchester City, particularly on the injury front.
That’s according to Philipp Hinze and RB Live, who cover the German side today ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League clash with Manchester City.
First the bad news, with Hinz reporting that defender Benjamin Henrichs has been ruled out of the game due to a ‘small muscle injury’.
The only option to replace him in the position will be Lukas Klostermann, who has only managed 36 minutes of action in the Bundesliga so far this season.
Henrich’s injury is one of several the German side are currently dealing with, as Dani Olmo, Willi Orban and El Chadaille Bitshiabu are all also out.
On the flip side, there is positive news as Timo Werner is ‘about to make a comeback’ after being able to ‘train fully’ throughout this week.
He recently missed the DFB Cup game against SV Wehen Wiesbaden and then the clash with Bayern Munich duo to back problems but has returned this week and could provide an attacking boost against Manchester City as a result.
