For the past nine months or so, we seem to have covered every angle possible angle regarding Marcelo Brozovic potentially leaving Inter Milan, and we’re no closer to seeing a conclusion anytime soon.
The Croatian midfielder, who is currently preparing for the 2016 Euros with his national team, has been reported as an Arsenal target since even before his move to Italy, but nothing has ever been done about it by the London club.
With this lack of activity (if the interest is genuine), other clubs have started forming a queue behind Arsène Wenger, and Gazzetta dello Sport have a quick recap about everything that’s gone on, and who has joined into this saga.
The pink Italian newspaper suggests that Inter Milan would want €30m for their 23-year-old midfielder, but would prefer €35m (who wouldn’t?).
Not helping this speculation one bit was Inter Milan’s sporting director, Piero Ausilio, taking a lovely trip to London, which only served to fuel the rumours the player could be leaving.
As for Brozovic himself, he has reiterated in Thursday’s edition of Gazzetta that he has never once asked to leave Inter Milan, and isn’t thinking about a transfer.
