In a late move in the transfer window, PSV are apparently making an attempt to sign Burnley defender CJ Egan-Riley.
That’s now reported by Dutch outlet Voetbal International, who says the Eredivisie side want the signing done on a loan deal.
It’s pointed out that Egan-Riley has been getting few chances to play at Burnley, and that’s the opportunity PSV needed to sign him.
The Dutch side had already been interested in the centre-back back in January, and are now making a new attempt.
Voetbal International share no information on Burnley’s stance for now, as Vincent Kompany is probably analysing whether to let the 20-year-old go out for a season.
Egan-Riley arrived at Burnley on a free transfer from Manchester City last summer. With just six appearances in his first months with the Clarets, he was loaned out to Hibernian FC in January for a short spell.
Now back at Turf Moor, the defender didn’t get any chances to play in the Premier League, and could have the chance to gain some more experience elsewhere if this late bid is accepted.
